Tbilisi Triennial: Mediation as Resistance
No longer feasible in Georgia due to political reasons, this 5th Tbilisi Triennial, and especially the institution behind the Triennial, the CCA Tbilisi, will find a venue this year at the Vienna Secession. The previous two parts of the Triennial program now come together to form a complete picture.
The head of the Georgian Video Art Archive, Aleksi Sosselia , who curated the film program entitled Point of rotation on the last Tuesdays, is in Vienna and talks about the archive, accompanied by an installation setting of the archive.
The Gemeinde KölnIn the summer of 2025, a two-month festival featuring dance , film , and visual art will be presented . In collaboration with international curators and choreographers, over 50 artists will participate in the project “Memories of Today.”
Under this title, we take a look back at the present from a distant past. How is our society changing in post-capitalism, post-colonialism, through network capital, and marked by marginalization, violence, and displacement in all parts of the world?
The festival aims to provide a forum for many different voices that ask questions about their own identity and share perspectives on many pressing societal issues.
“Memories of Today” will open from July 11–13, 2025, and run until August 28. The opening weekend coincides with numerous events at Ebertplatz, including the action weekend “Sorry, We're Open,” organized by Brunnen eV, the association of all art spaces at Ebertplatz.

2025 Evenet: TKESHI FESTIVAL 2025
The audio-video performance represents a search process that metaphorically describes one side of the perception of the country's future prospects from the present. The audio part also uses certain dialogues from Aleksandre Rekhviashvili's film - The Road Home. The visual narrative describes the 4 major economic and social hubs of Tbilisi, where most of the Tbilisi population searches for various household, food and other items they need. These ecosystems are the main source of income for most of the socially vulnerable and relatively poor group of society and is the main driving economical force of the city.

The group collaborated with artists like Merzbow, Sunn O))), FM Einheit, and Ryuichi Sakamoto, and received an Ars Electronica award in 2005. Word X Response

Audio / Video Performace 2025
Event: Unbound Trajectories of the Future /
Curator: Giorgi Spanderashvili
Supported by Goethe Institute - Tbilisi
Hosted by: Mutant Radio
Word X Response is an a/v performance by Aleksi Soselia & Sandro Sulaberidze, presenting a journey through time and space—simultaneously an act of observation and surveillance. While the project's audial part focuses on a dialogue between two travelers, the visual narrative, captured through live cameras, attempts to trace the trajectory of their path. This approach subtly resonates with Alexandre Rekhviashvili's film "The Way Home", reflecting on the ephemeral perception of good and bad as phenomena.
